You are invited to join us at Artspace Aotearoa for a series of group workshops as part of the Public Programme for Koloa: Fafine, ‘Aati, Mo e Tekinolosia / Women, Art, and Technology. This workshop series will be co-facilitated by Ebonie Fifita Maka and 'Alisi Tatafu as they pay homage to the legacy of Lady Tunakaimanu Fielakepa who has gifted her knowledge on Ngatu and Koloa throughout her life.

This is a hands on experience where participants are invited to the patching and rubbing of a Ngatu Fuatanga (Bark Cloth). This is an opportunity to be part of the story telling aspect behind this artform as the participants navigate around the process of making Kupesi and Ngatu.

Consequently one of the Ngatu Fuatanga will be gifted to The Dowager Lady Tunakaimanu Fielakepa.
