This panel discussion features Matthew Galloway in conversation with Mohamed Kamal Fadel & Golriz Ghahraman, the speakers will be extending the research & work produced over the course of Slow Boil, and within the context of examining what the sharing of kai can do to transform how we conceive of knowledge, resilience & mana motuhake.

Member of the New Zealand Parliament

Golriz Ghahraman MP is an Iranian-born New Zealand politician, member of Parliament, and author. The former United Nations lawyer was a child asylum seeker, and became the first refugee elected to New Zealand's Parliament. Ghahraman is a member of the New Zealand House of Representatives for the Green Party.

Matthew Galloway

Galloway lives and works in Ōtepoti Dunedin. His research-based practice employs the tools and methodologies of design in an editorial way, and often within a gallery context. This way of working emphasises design and publishing as an inherently political exercise and involves an interdisciplinary approach to producing publications and art objects.

Mohamed Kamal Fadel
Polisario Front Representative to Australia

Mohamed Kamal Fadel is the Polisario Front representative of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic to Australia & New Zealand. He had worked since 1986 in several diplomatic postings, as on SADR embassies or representations on Algeria, India, Iran, the United Kingdom & East Timor.
