Temporary Closure of Artspace Aotearoa Gallery
Due to the recent announcement regarding the change of Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland to Alert Level 4 from 11:59pm tonight (17 August), Artspace Aotearoa will temporarily close the gallery to the public as we assist the collective attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19 down. The team feels responsible for the safety of our community, therefore we feel it is necessary to close the gallery until further notice. We will see how the Government reviews the situation in a week's time.
We have been preparing for this and have a wealth of experience within our team to make sure there will be continuous but alternative programming for our exhibition series When The Dust Settles, which was supposed to open this Wednesday 18 August, 2021. We would like to thank the artists, dealer galleries, Webbs auction house and supporters in the artistic community who made this possible.
Please keep supporting our artistic communities where you can, if you require any advice, guidance, or just want to have a chat, our communication lines are still open. You can reach us by phone or our info@artspace.org.nz email address during work hours.
In the meantime we will continue to work hard with all our colleagues to advocate the softening of personal and professional implications of COVID-19 throughout the sector as we did multiple times before.
Kia kaha e hoa mā.
