Kreisler’s edition for Artspace Aotearoa exemplifies his witty and pointed approach to language and images, illustrating the condominium quite literally as a residence in the shape of the contraception.
Tom Kreisler (b. Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1938, d. New Plymouth, 2002 at 63) was an artist and poet. Son of Jewish parents who fled Vienna and known for paintings and drawings that entertain and inform his sense of humour that elicit both laughter and existentiality. Preoccupied with large themes, his work encompassing everything from love and death, to suffering and exaltation.
